Marlene Berne
Marlene Berne has worked in executive search since 1994, starting with The Whitney Group where she served as a Vice President, originating and executing searches for global financial services firms across a range of product specializations. In 1999, Marlene was recruited to join A.T. Kearney Executive Search, where she served as a Managing Director and spent the next four years building the firm’s global financial markets practice.
Prior to her career in executive recruiting, Marlene was a Vice President in financial services at Kidder, Peabody & Company. In 1982 she joined Kidder’s Financial Futures Department, and also worked in the Capital Markets and Corporate Finance arenas. She was part of a strategic team that developed and marketed specialized debt and equity-related products to Fortune 100 clients.
Marlene earned a BA in Economics from Bucknell University and studied at the London School of Economics. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, having joined at inception as a Charter Angel. Marlene serves on the Advisory Board of Xslaves.org, an international non-profit, and volunteers for the Cardiovasular Research Foundation.
